In the 18th minute, Nicolai Rasmer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonard Rosen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nikolai Vejtsbøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomasz Motowski in the 22nd minute of the match. Vitinho de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Nikolai Vejtsbøl made a huge save. Leonard Rosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márton Herczegh in the 26th minute of the match. Dværgetved's supporters crossed their fingers, but 秦剑亦 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Batistuta in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Rosen saved AA Bełchatów from getting behind. After 46 played minutes Dværgetved got a freekick which was hit by Márton Herczegh. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Márton Herczegh was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Vitinho de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikolai Vejtsbøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomasz Motowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Volkan Saltık in the 58th minute of play forced Dværgetved's goalkeeper Nikolai Vejtsbøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vitinho de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dværgetved's Nikolai Vejtsbøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Motowski in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Dværgetved's goal looked a bit too open when Volkan Saltık came free, but Nikolai Vejtsbøl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikolai Vejtsbøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Motowski in the 66th minute of play. Dværgetved made a substitution. Thorkil Jardenfeldt replaced Emil Klitmark. In the 69th minute, Mariusz Basaik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitinho de Barros in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikolai Vejtsbøl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nikolai Vejtsbøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho de Barros in the 74th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Volkan Saltık in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikolai Vejtsbøl saved Dværgetved from getting behind. When Vitinho de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the AA Bełchatów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho de Barros couldn't finish the play. Dværgetved's Carmichael Carbery was substituted for Márton Herczegh. Nikolai Vejtsbøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Basaik in the 79th minute of play. In the 88th minute Tomasz Motowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolai Vejtsbøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, AA Bełchatów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Ignazio to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Dværgetved defense, Vitinho de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikolai Vejtsbøl. The Dværgetved fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikolai Vejtsbøl should have stopped the shot. Dværgetved's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
