The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severo Maju's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severo Maju helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Centenario Bohemio's Severo Maju got a free kick in the 5th minute. Andres Tavio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Mauro Fontanini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. When Centenario Bohemio's Gonzalo Berterame in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panama's goalie prevented a goal. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Berterame in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Severo Maju cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 35 minutes into the match, Mauro Fontanini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Fontanini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 44 minutes, Leonardo Flores mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Centenario Bohemio and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Centenario Bohemio's Leonardo Flores got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Berterame was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. If Severo Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andres Tavio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Centenario Bohemio getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Maximiliano Javiero hit a great ball. Centenario Bohemio's Matías Donato was substituted for Severo Maju. In the 71st match minute, Centenario Bohemio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Javiero to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Alguacils short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Andres Tavio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andres Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
