Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evelio Pes started the match with the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Cesar Roderigo in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Evelio Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 10th minute Evelio Pes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 minutes of play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Evelio Pes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evelio Pes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reynaldo Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Pes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evelio Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Theo Hayles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 2-0. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Pes in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Evelio Pes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Sportivo Italiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Reynaldo Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 38th minute. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Pes's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Evelio Pes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Evelio Pes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Theo Hayles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Theo Hayles came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Club Sportivo Italiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo Hayles couldn't finish the play. After 74 minutes, Evelio Pes made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Sportivo Italiano:s goal. Honduras:s Lautaro Navarro showed great skill when he stopped Luisito Bikendi:s penalty. Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Italiano from getting a goal against them. When Club Sportivo Italiano's Evelio Pes in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. After 86 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Claris. Armando Urbes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Evelio Pes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. 97 minutes into the game, Theo Hayles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
