The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Sándor Jászberényi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Sándor Jászberényi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gyál United's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sándor Jászberényi came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sándor Jászberényi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Gyál United defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. The Gyál United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sándor Jászberényi should have stopped the shot. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gyál United's goalie prevented a goal. Sándor Jászberényi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. Gyál United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sándor Jászberényi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. The Gyál United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

51 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi. Sándor Jászberényi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sándor Jászberényi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 54 minute of play. Sándor Jászberényi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Arias in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After some careless play in the Gyál United defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. In the 84th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sándor Jászberényi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Gyál United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 91st minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sándor Jászberényi, 0-11. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gyál United.
