Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. Wiktor Falkiewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wiktor Falkiewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Falkiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a Kania Gostyń's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kania Gostyń booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiktor Falkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiktor Falkiewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Wiktor Falkiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Kania Gostyń got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adam Wnukowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Kania Gostyń's Papo Seco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 20 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. Wiktor Falkiewicz scored 2-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boruc Furgal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wiktor Falkiewicz to make the kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstanty Domalik in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Konstanty Domalik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Kania Gostyń was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Oliverio to maneuver through the defense.
