An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Mendes in the 4th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edson Mendes in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the game, Dário Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olivedos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curacao the free kick. After 12 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Dário Viana. The Olivedos fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Olivedos's Edson Mendes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Antônio Carlos Valadares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Barrett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Antônio Carlos Valadares's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Bruno Barrett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 40th minute, Charles Cox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kyle Davies during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Davies didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edson Mendes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Barrett came out and tried to block the shot, but Edson Mendes slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 43rd minute. Doni Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. Víktor Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanley Wallace in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

55 minutes into the game, Olivedos's Antônio Carlos Valadares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Doni Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doni Senna went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 68 minutes, Paulo Renato Galvão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olivedos and the Curacao players grew even worse after the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Olivedos fully deserved thier win.
