Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan. But to his dismay, Chen Ao Fan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Chen Ao Fan sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 14 in the game by Chen Ao Fan from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. In the 15th match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Norström to maneuver through the defense. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Skövde AIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. Ronnie Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. In the 24th minute, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 30 minutes into the game, Kurt Hamrin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Kurt Hamrin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. In the 32nd minute of the match, Kurt Hamrin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 6-0 after 35 minutes of play. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Kevin Keegan sent off a good shot on target. When Skövde AIK's Kurt Hamrin in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 43rd minute. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Kevin Keegan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 7-0. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chen Ao Fan to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. After 54 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronnie Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chen Ao Fan in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chen Ao Fan took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Kurt Hamrin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Knut Rudberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skövde AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Knut Rudberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chen Ao Fan's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Chen Ao Fan charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chen Ao Fan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Chen Ao Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan. But to his dismay, Chen Ao Fan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. After 88 minutes, Chen Ao Fan made it 14-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, Chen Ao Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 16-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Skövde AIK fully deserved thier win.
