Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Guará FC's Ronaldão Paulista started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Primitivo Escribano hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ronaldão Paulista sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldão Paulista went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Pedro Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 17 minutes of play, Guará FC's Ronaldão Paulista made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 25 minutes, Ronaldão Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guará FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paraguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Ronaldão Paulista scored to the left of an out of position Jacobo Nores, making the score, 5-0. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldão Paulista's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Guará FC's Henrique Ribeiro got a free kick in the 41st minute. Nelsinho Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Zé Pedro Baiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldão Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. Guará FC made a substitution. Douglas de Lara replaced Lachezar Dzhevov. After 51 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. Guará FC's Ronaldão Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Ronaldão Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Guará FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldão Paulista couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the game, Guará FC's Ronaldão Paulista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Xavier Zoido hit a great ball. Douglas de Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Guará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nelsinho Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Douglas de Lara hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Covarrubias to maneuver through the defense. With 83 minutes on the clock, Xavier Zoido commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paraguay! Paraguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
