Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Guga Trancoso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guga Trancoso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Mete Gøl tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, PIAUÍ FC's Víktor Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes, PIAUÍ FC's Demis Katsarolidis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PIAUÍ FC reached it. Baturhan Oytun had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. 18 minutes into the match, Mete Gøl notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 27th minute. Demis Katsarolidis scored 5-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, PIAUÍ FC's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mete Gøl, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Axel Tasis during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guga Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 37th minute. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Guga Trancoso sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guga Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 51st minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga Trancoso in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to PIAUÍ FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Demis Katsarolidis hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Gøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Guga Trancoso put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. PIAUÍ FC made a substitution. Juninho Freitas replaced Mete Gøl. PIAUÍ FC made a substitution. Leonel Fero replaced Renato Sá. 71 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Baturhan Oytun came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Baturhan Oytun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso pulled a muscle in his leg after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a PIAUÍ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 75th minute. Paulo Batista missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 77 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Benito Sanz right hand side. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baturhan Oytun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PIAUÍ FC's Vladimir de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Vladimir de Sena put it in 14-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. When Baturhan Oytun came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the PIAUÍ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baturhan Oytun couldn't finish the play. Vladimir de Sena scored 15-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. PIAUÍ FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
