In the 4th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Agustín Saelices played forward. Karlos Vuelta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fumasche's Gaspar Arlo suffered a sore thigh after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Primitivo Andino's late challenge caught a Fumasche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Andino helped the player get up and apologised. Fumasche made a substitution. Marcelo Eufemio replaced Gaspar Arlo. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 10th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Crawford Korff in the 12th minute of play. Wei De Ling might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wei De Ling ran back to his position shaking his head. Wei De Ling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Wei De Ling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei De Ling in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wei De Ling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Luis Andino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Karlos Vuelta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Crawford Korff dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. Piri Vangioni kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Piri Vangioni hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Felix Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fumasche booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crawford Korff hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Karlos Vuelta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Bernardino Gaztea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Crawford Korff to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karlos Vuelta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Bernardino Gaztea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Karlos Vuelta in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, Fumasche's Wei De Ling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Cayetano Acuña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fumasche's Cayetano Acuña managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Primitivo Andino in the 73 minute of the game. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karlos Vuelta could save by the left post. Karlos Vuelta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Crawford Korff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After 84 played minutes Fumasche got a freekick which was hit by Wei De Ling. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Karlos Vuelta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Fumasche booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crawford Korff struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fumasche. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
