In the 17thth minute of the game Tanio Mascaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curacao's Bruno Barrett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. El Eterno Campeón's Danél Van Schowen got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vicens Aguila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tanio Mascaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Bruno Barrett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Troy Kennedy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Leandro Daneri made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, El Eterno Campeón's Tanio Mascaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Barrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanio Mascaro in the 89th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes of play Curacao's Troy Kennedy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Troy Kennedy got a free kick in the 91st minute. When the referee ended the match the El Eterno Campeón players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
