Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Carballar in the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Salvidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 10th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gabriele Batistuta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 15th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Salvidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thiago Pliego was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Gabriele Batistuta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gabriele Batistuta really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriele Batistuta's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, Orlando Casaus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Chile's Felix Garrido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armando Roland in the 37 minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Chile's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gabriele Batistuta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta. But to his dismay, Gabriele Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Gabriele Batistuta scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 4-3. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriele Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Menchu FC's attentive Armando Roland managed to snatch the ball when Felix Garrido made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Camilo Salvidor made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Camilo Salvidor in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Gabriele Batistuta notched a goal, 5-4, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Camilo Salvidor made a huge save. Gabriele Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes, Gabriele Batistuta made it 6-4 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Menchu FC from getting a goal against them. Orlando Casaus might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Salvidor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Casaus ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 81st minute of the match. Orlando Casaus took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Salvidor. Camilo Salvidor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-5. 89 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Menchu FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucas Martínez Quarta took the corner. The corner ended in Lucas Martínez Quarta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Salvidor having to make a save. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 94th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Gabriele Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot.
