Camilo Gisbert made in the 11th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. 15 minutes into the match, SζλR∃ ∀Γ∀Γ ♥'s Zula Bugno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zula Bugno in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute of the match, Dominik Dudek got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zula Bugno got free with Julio Vera in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the game, Zula Bugno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stefan Czeszyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Zula Bugno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute, Zula Bugno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. In the 51st minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Luis Andino played forward. 54 minutes into the match, Zula Bugno notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 67 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SζλR∃ ∀Γ∀Γ ♥ made a substitution. Dariusz Trzemzalski replaced Nabar Martínez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zula Bugno in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Czeszyk made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Zula Bugno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. SζλR∃ ∀Γ∀Γ ♥'s Kazimierz Pahucki was substituted for Zula Bugno. SζλR∃ ∀Γ∀Γ ♥'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anders Kilberg in the 86th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Dominik Dudek. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dominik Dudek hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Pahucki came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
