Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Flavius Cernat started the match with the kick off. Curacao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Dorel Sfârlea scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Barrett, making the score, 2-0. Flavius Cernat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorel Sfârlea in the 16th minute of the match. Troy Kennedy's late challenge caught a Rapid Bucharest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Troy Kennedy helped the player get up and apologised. Troy Kennedy hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Rapid Bucharest's Dorel Sfârlea got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With 24 minutes on the clock, Harvey Doyle commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 25th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harvey Doyle to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Dinu Suluțiu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Curacao's Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Suluțiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ştefan Ifrim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lochlan Newman in the 33rd minute of play. Sever Nandriș's late challenge caught a Curacao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sever Nandriș helped the player get up and apologised. Flavius Cernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Troy Kennedy hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavius Cernat got free with Bruno Barrett in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The supporters of Rapid Bucharest booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertie Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavius Cernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. Lochlan Newman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ştefan Ifrim made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Rapid Bucharest's Dinu Suluțiu got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Stanley Wallace hit a great ball. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Sfârlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Dinu Suluțiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Suluțiu in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Rapid Bucharest players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
