Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Vila Nova GO's Celsinho Quirino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Matheus Rosado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Barrett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vila Nova GO's Celsinho Quirino was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Troy Kennedy's late challenge caught a Vila Nova GO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Troy Kennedy helped the player get up and apologised. Bertie Johnson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Claudinei Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute, Celsinho Quirino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bruno Barrett. The goal made the score 2-0. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celsinho Quirino's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Lenílson Faria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Barrett came out and tried to block the shot, but Lenílson Faria slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 22nd minute. Matheus Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Davies in the 28th minute of play forced Vila Nova GO's goalkeeper Alfredão Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Quirino in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Barrett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Matheus Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Bruno Barrett successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 41 minutes of play, Vila Nova GO's Matheus Rosado made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Celsinho Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson Faria in the 58th minute of play. Lenílson Faria took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celsinho Quirino in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 minutes, Celsinho Quirino made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Curacao's Bruno Barrett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celsinho Quirino in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. Lenílson Faria scored 7-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Barrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lenílson Faria took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Kyle Davies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Celsinho Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Quirino came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Vila Nova GO were the better team. Vila Nova GO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
