Inmortales FC's Cyprian Tipinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cyprian Tipinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inmortales FC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Darnell Joyce took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in José Alberto Peirano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cyprian Tipinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiang Yuan in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Jiang Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inmortales FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jiang Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Inmortales FC's Jiang Yuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 32ndth minute of the game Jiang Yuan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Jiang Yuan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jiang Yuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jiang Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inmortales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jiang Yuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Jiang Yuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Jiang Yuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Inmortales FC's Emilio Caracciolo was substituted for Jiang Yuan. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Inmortales FC's Emilio Caracciolo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Emilio Caracciolo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Cyprian Tipinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes, Emilio Caracciolo made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Emilio Caracciolo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Inmortales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Caracciolo couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Moura in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Caracciolo in the 91st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute Darnell Joyce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Inmortales FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
