Brickeen Wall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Aureliano Cordeara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Iván Karamazov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karamázov and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Braulio Uhin in the 27th minute. Karamázov's Braulio Uhin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brickeen Wall. Brickeen Wall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Ege Nesefi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brickeen Wall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Cordeara in the 44th minute of play. Thiago Pliego had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Braulio Uhin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Casaus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Ege Nesefi kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Karamázov's Brickeen Wall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Karamázov from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Ege Nesefi came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th minute, Orlando Casaus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Brickeen Wall, passed just outside the right post. After 98 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
