Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Napoleon Tylenda made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gualter Roriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Lisandro Tab ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Gualter Roriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napoleon Tylenda in the 18th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Andaka Mula made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Napoleon Tylenda in the 30th minute of play. Andaka Mula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Delta FS's goalkeeper Gualter Roriz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Gualter Roriz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Harry Bengtsson fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delta FS's protests and gave Harry Bengtsson a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Delta FS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gualter Roriz. 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Napoleon Tylenda to make the kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andaka Mula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andaka Mula in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Delta FS's Lisandro Tab broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montenegro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Roriz having to interfere. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Andaka Mula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Álvaro Vilaverde hit a great ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Napoleon Tylenda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andaka Mula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Andaka Mula left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delta FS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Amedeo De Matteis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Delta FS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
