Antonio Arias's late challenge caught a Delta FS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Arias helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Lisandro Tab:s penalty. Gualter Roriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Napoleon Tylenda made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andaka Mula in the 70th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andaka Mula in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goalkeeper Gualter Roriz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 87th minute, Andaka Mula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Napoleon Tylenda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Delta FS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
