Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Intxixu Porregimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Ronaldinho Romero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 37th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Intxixu Porregimon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Germano Pernambucano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anaia Barba made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldinho Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee ended the match the Mexilhão F. C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
