The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Sabino in the 30th minute of play. Los Irrompibles's Justino Inko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanley Wallace in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Sabino got free with Bruno Barrett in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sabino in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Barrett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The goal made the score 2-1. Adan Haritz struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Irrompibles. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benito Sabino to make the kick off. Benito Sabino took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 58 minutes into the match, Benito Sabino notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stanley Wallace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Marshall Graham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kyle Davies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justino Inko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Davies in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Kyle Davies shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Inko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Pablo Cordarrel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pablo Cordarrel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. In the 79th minute Adan Haritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rocco Owen was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Stanley Wallace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Sabino came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Los Irrompibles booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Troy Kennedy didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Los Irrompibles had played much better football throughout.
