Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Davide Di Tommaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Davide Di Tommaso hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davide Di Tommaso got free with Benito Sanz in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Penha went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Penha in the 40th minute of play. Luisito Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. A hard shot 43 in the game by Xu Zhen Ping from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luisito Jerano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Angelo Bertoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 53rd minute of play. Luisito Jerano struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ. After 56 minutes of play, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Leonardo Penha made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the game, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Xu Zhen Ping nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Davide Di Tommaso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Zhen Ping, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Di Tommaso in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Zhen Ping came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Davide Di Tommaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xu Zhen Ping fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Davide Di Tommaso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Davide Di Tommaso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
