Haiti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovanni Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 18th minute Jonathan Alphonse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Argoitz Santatis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duda Marinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Noel Seide came out and tried to block the shot, but Duda Marinho slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute of the match, Emílio Motta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Noel Seide saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Parque Morumbi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
