Adam Northe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Estefan in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, De Boedo Vengo's goal looked a bit too open when Erkan Fostiropoulos came free, but Salim Adas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Erkan Fostiropoulos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Salim Adas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 21 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Jaunzuria. When Erkan Fostiropoulos came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Rot-Weiss-Essen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erkan Fostiropoulos couldn't finish the play. Gino Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Northe having to interfere. Tymoteusz Terasek's late challenge caught a De Boedo Vengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erkan Fostiropoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Arno Claußen. 65 minutes into the match, De Boedo Vengo's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Alexa came free, but Salim Adas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Sandu Alexa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salim Adas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 71st minute, one of De Boedo Vengo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for De Boedo Vengo. De Boedo Vengo:s Salim Adas showed great skill when he stopped Erkan Fostiropoulos:s penalty. Erkan Fostiropoulos took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Salim Adas. Salim Adas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Fabian Krinke hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Sandu Alexa took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Salim Adas. Many of De Boedo Vengo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. De Boedo Vengo may have spent more time on the ball, but Rot-Weiss-Essen were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
