Rot-Weiss-Essen's Ratko Gingold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Ibañez in the 13th minute of play. Sascha Andre Rennert hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Ratko Gingold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Bartoleme, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in De Boedo Vengo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Cayetano Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Baumgarten, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 41 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Corderun. The supporters of De Boedo Vengo booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moritz Bähnert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Moritz Bähnert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Esdras was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

But to his dismay, Moritz Bähnert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. De Boedo Vengo's Cayetano Esdras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moritz Bähnert in the 88th minute of play.
