An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 18th minute of play forced tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goalkeeper José Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Giardino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. When Alexis Alexandris came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the tHe SOnS of rAGnar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexis Alexandris couldn't finish the play. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telis Ntasios in the 26th minute of play. Alexis Alexandris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 29th minute of play. In the 39th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Giardino in the 43rd minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Telis Ntasios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telis Ntasios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. tHe SOnS of rAGnar made a substitution. Charis Leontiou replaced Giannis Papoutsakis. After the first half USA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telis Ntasios in the 51st minute of the match. When tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Alexis Alexandris in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye USA's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexis Alexandris in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Walter Giardino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Charis Leontiou quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jenson Smith, made in the 77th minute of the game. In the 77thth minute of the game Walter Giardino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg José Sá managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when USA's Sam Campbell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Baker in the 83rd minute of play forced tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goalkeeper José Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Alexandris in the 88th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Aurelio Lucian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Bradley charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Bradley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Bradley to maneuver through the defense.
