Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The tension between the Maravilla and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Arnau didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Maravilla's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Muc came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Saul Unax fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maravilla's protests and gave Saul Unax a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match.
