Matia Ibisate received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Xacobo Alamo put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Ronaldo in the 35th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xacobo Alamo in the 36th minute. Xacobo Alamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. When Charles Cox fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Charles Cox a yellow card for diving instead.
