Gustavo Chabier struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Águilas Poblanas. Martin Ubarna's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Carlo Ciolli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Beltran in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matias Eder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Fernandino went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebio Beltran was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Beltran in the 53rd minute of the match. Carlo Ciolli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 90 played minutes, Águilas Poblanas's Anıl Cenk Yılğıralp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Águilas Poblanas reached it. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Beltran in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Beltran came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Águilas Poblanas had played much better football throughout.
