Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Okan Koc started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 10 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Crețu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Eliseo Mina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Crețu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stiinta-Univ.'s Virgil Oargă shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rolando Noboa but with some difficulty. Martin Crețu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 minutes Stiinta-Univ.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Peru's Alonso Berganza to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Crețu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okan Koc in the 44th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Peru's Efraim Gilabert got a free kick in the 47th minute. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurel Panait in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 minutes, Aurel Panait made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Peru's Rolando Noboa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martin Crețu, 2-3. In the 74th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 84th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Panait in the 87th minute of play. Martin Crețu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Crețu was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Panait in the 96th minute of play.
