Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Muget booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Tião Amaral got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Isac Gligor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Joan Quesada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muget's supporters rose to their feet, but Joan Quesada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Garcia Osuna. In the 19thth minute of the game Tião Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Tião Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muget fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Tião Amaral had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Amaral got free with Benito Sanz in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 29 minutes, Abel Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Muget players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Lino Quexal took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Stancu in the 34th minute of play. Tião Amaral succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 37th playminute. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garcia Osuna in the 40th minute. Tião Amaral took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 47th match minute, Muget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Amaral to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tião Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Amaral in the 52nd minute of the match. Florin Stancu struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muget. In the 56th minute, Tião Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Florin Stancu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florin Stancu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Florin Stancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Florin Stancu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Amaral came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Florin Stancu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Stancu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Stancu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Tião Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 13-0 when Tião Amaral sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The audience was convinced that Tião Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Muget walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
