The Guansa fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Guansa's Hector Terciero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Ladislao Elodio fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guansa's protests and gave Ladislao Elodio a yellow card for diving instead. Ladislao Elodio kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Mateo Leguizamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Elodio in the 18th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Bladi in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Guansa's Hermengildo Bladi in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 23rd minute of play forced Guansa's goalkeeper Cornelio Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Hector Terciero took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ricardo Zorita to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermengildo Bladi in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. Ladislao Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Ladislao Elodio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Terciero, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Marco Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladislao Elodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Guansa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Francesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Mateo Leguizamo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Asteri skillfully saved the ball. Hermengildo Bladi in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Maximo Todor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 53 minutes, Moises Fernandino made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guansa's Cornelio Asteri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Guansa's Hector Terciero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Bladi in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Bladi came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Terciero took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. In the 90th minute Hermengildo Bladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Hector Terciero notched a goal, 9-1, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Guansa were the better team. Guansa's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
