Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's Rodolfo Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Errapel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Errapel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Transito in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Santa Maradona's Laureano Sustrai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jonathan Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 19th minute of play. Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. Jonathan Errapel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Errapel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Errapel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Jonathan Errapel came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 39 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Santa Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneliu Văcăroiu to maneuver through the defense. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Errapel. Jonathan Errapel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Santa Maradona from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Errapel quite easily take care of the ball. In the 54th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Errapel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. A hard shot 67 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Errapel managed to make a qualified save. Santa Maradona's players were relieved. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Errapel could save by the left post. In the 74thth minute of the game Rodolfo Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Santa Maradona from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Errapel having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Rodolfo Cordeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 94th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Errapel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Errapel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, Santa Maradona could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
