After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz got a free kick in the 4th minute. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erubiel Lopes in the 5th minute. When Guansa's Mariano Calixto in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bolivia's goalie prevented a goal. In the 9th match minute, Guansa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Vachon to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fidel Mendiko showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Alfonso de la Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Alfonso de la Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso de la Cruz. Camilo Freixa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cesar Opilano. The crowd rose to their feet as Guansa's Fermin Urtungo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Camilo Freixa. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Mario Fernandino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fidel Mendiko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Fidel Mendiko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Fontirroig in the 36th minute of play. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Calixto in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Fernandino made a kick off. In the 51st minute Mariano Calixto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Eduardo Fontirroig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eduardo Fontirroig came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Fontirroig couldn't finish the play. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Calixto in the 57th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Erubiel Lopes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Camilo Freixa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Calixto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Gallo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Calixto in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Freixa saved Bolivia from getting behind. Camilo Freixa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Guansa's Mariano Calixto shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 84 minutes into the game, Mario Fernandino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guansa the free kick. After 84 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Mario Fernandino. The audience was convinced that Mariano Calixto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
