Lucrețiu Brătescu came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Begu Ganjang's Anak Selby. But to his dismay, Anak Selby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tạ I made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themis Papadimoulis in the 10th minute of play. Themis Papadimouliss short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Tạ I to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 15th minute Zsolt Székely shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tạ I saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucrețiu Brătescu came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Begu Ganjang's Anak Selby. But to his dismay, Anak Selby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 44 played minutes Begu Ganjang got a freekick which was hit by Percy Koehler. 47 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's goalkeeper Tạ I had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Themis Papadimoulis.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anak Selby was the one to do the kick off.
