Eufrasio Vall was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Augusto Cordario showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Umea Loza kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Guillerme Gadea with Eguzki Binas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 14th minute Witold Pietras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez Sarsfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Witold Pietras was slow to take the kick. During this time Mariolo's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mariolo's corner Witold Pietras fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erwin Huygens quite easily take care of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Mariolo's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Eufrasio Vall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eufrasio Vall was a little too slow when Augusto Cordario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-0. Frederico Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erwin Huygens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frederico Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Barros in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Barros came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariolo's goalkeeper Eufrasio Vall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eufrasio Vall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. Eufrasio Vall made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Augusto Cordario sent off a good shot on target. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umea Loza in the 35th minute of play. Benedito Camargo came free in the 42nd minute and tried to tip the ball over Erwin Huygens, but to the joy of Velez Sarsfield's supporters the ball went over. Eufrasio Vall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Cordario in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute of the match Velez Sarsfield got a corner. Mariolo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filomeno Montrell ran over to the corner to take the kick. Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eufrasio Vall in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Cordario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Mariolo's zone, Ago Tramp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eufrasio Vall came out of the goal and Ago Tramp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Mel to maneuver through the defense. Eufrasio Vall came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario. But to his dismay, Augusto Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 73 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Pacifico. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Marcos Pacifico hit a great ball. When Mariolo's Frederico Barros in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Velez Sarsfield's goalie prevented a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Barros came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Cordario scored 4-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eufrasio Vall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umea Loza in the 87th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillerme Gadea hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Augusto Cordario scored 5-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eufrasio Vall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
