The corner led Pinner Cluj-Napoca's Mugurel Gârniceanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Dolfo Burgo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Horácio Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Pinner Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Flóki Factor came free, but Jalmari Mikkonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Ali Nurettin struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Dolfo Burgo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinner Cluj-Napoca.
