A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. Fernan Berart struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vykans Vikingar. Leonardo Trancosos short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Leonardo Trancoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 31st minute of play. Kevin Mastache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Ekrot having to make a save. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 39th minute of play. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Ekrot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Marcus Ekrot in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joshua Garrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Marcus Ekrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 63rd minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Marcus Ekrot made a huge save. With a little luck, Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Marcus Ekrot successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Souza in the 70th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Marcus Ekrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Souza came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Vykans Vikingar from getting a goal against them. Vykans Vikingar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
