Roncourt's Florent Blanc quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jose Manzanedo, made in the 13th minute of the game. Mounir Perry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 16th minute of the match. Mounir Perry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 28 minutes Roncourt's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Chile's Mariano Lacasa to fire away a dangerous shot which Mounir Perry despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Roncourt's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. A sloppy throw-in by Jose Manzanedo in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Roncourt's Horácio Larreta. After 31 played minutes Roncourt got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Larreta. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mounir Perry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Roncourt's Mounir Perry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 39th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Alan Tamayo. In the 46th minute of the match Horácio Larreta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego skillfully saved the ball. When Francisco Carballar fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Francisco Carballar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Mounir Perry in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lv Xiao Zhi in the 56th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from J.P. Kapar in the 60th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling J.P. Kapar in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mounir Perry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. J.P. Kapar scored 1-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If J.P. Kapar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roncourt's J.P. Kapar got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Chile's Mounir Perry threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orlando Casaus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Mounir Perry in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Chile defense, J.P. Kapar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot.
