The throw-in from Tytus Banaszak in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rhys Dimmock having to make a save. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Kirkpatrick in the 8th minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rhys Dimmock in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis Duff to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Rhys Dimmock. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Elin Elin kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 32nd minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Davis Duff sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball.

Zack Grier kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Viktor Schukin tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rhys Dimmock. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 74th minute. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 76th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rhys Dimmock. That made the score 1-3 after 84 minutes of play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Dimmock having to interfere. Rhys Dimmock made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Joel Gaona sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Balaeț in the 93rd minute of play. Mugurel Balaeț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere.
