In the 11th minute, Toro Lindø hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute of the match, Gustavo Carrasqueira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 16th minute. Bruno Soveral shot from long distance after 19 played minutes, a shot that Marcos Cotilla with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. After 20 minutes, Alex Cambeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Exército Português players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Gergely Balázs sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Gergely Balázs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Dicu having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Soveral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gergely Balázs to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Bruno Soveral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Soveral, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes of play, Exército Português's Gustavo Carrasqueira made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gergely Balázs in the 60th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Soveral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petruț Dicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 67th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gergely Balázs in the 72nd minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Carrasqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Soveral in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great ball. Exército Português's Armando Meireles was substituted for Gergely Balázs. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Soveral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Exército Português players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
