In the 38th minute, Moises Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Chelsea Headhunters booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentino Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Mark Day managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea Headhunters's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Day was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. Callum McGilvra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ray Spence to make the kick off. Abram Luque took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anthony Giles. Anthony Giles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 57 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Giles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anthony Giles was a little too slow when Abram Luque got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon McCorkindale in the 67th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentino Ferrant hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Marco Tamayo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Simon McCorkindale came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Chelsea Headhunters got a freekick which was hit by Mark Day. 82 minutes into the match, El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anthony Giles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Spence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray Spence scored 1-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 89 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Valentino Ferrant. When Simon McCorkindale came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Chelsea Headhunters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon McCorkindale couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Harry McBain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Although Chelsea Headhunters had been in control for most of the match, El Salvador still came away with the win.
