The PLUMIN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Matteo should have stopped the shot. If Flavio Emeterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Cristofol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Remir. In the 18th minute of the match, Astor Camerino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ricardo Zorita was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moises Fernandino during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leonides Matteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 23rd minute of play. Teofilo Rodas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Moises Fernandino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Moises Fernandino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Matteo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Leonides Matteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 29th minute of the match. During the 47th minute of the match Moises Fernandino completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Moises Fernandino a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Luque made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, PLUMIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Beat to maneuver through the defense. Mateo Leguizamo shot from long distance in the 57th minute, but Leonides Matteo was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Flavio Emeterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Flavio Emeterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo got control of the ball when Abram Luque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Cristofol, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th match minute, PLUMIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Camerino to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 66 minutes, Mateo Leguizamo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Leguizamo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Valentino Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enzo Remir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. After 74 minutes of play, PLUMIN's Enzo Remir made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Cristofol in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Marco Tamayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PLUMIN the free kick. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Mateo Leguizamo came free in the 85th minute and tried to tip the ball over Leonides Matteo, but to the joy of PLUMIN's supporters the ball went over. When Abram Luque fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Abram Luque a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute of the match Flavio Emeterio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Zorita skillfully saved the ball. The El Salvador players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
