In the 4th minute Jerônimo Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Jerônimo Mangueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Freixa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerônimo Mangueira in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Freixa saved Bolivia from getting behind. In the 14th match minute, Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Fontirroig to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Pena came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Freixa made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Albino Steven sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Corinthians Paulista booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso de la Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Freixa made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Evandro Pena sent off a good shot on target. When Benito Madrid fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Benito Madrid a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Benito Madrid. After 33 minutes, Jerônimo Mangueira made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Albino Steven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Tejedor. In the 47th minute, Alfonso de la Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Albino Steven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléber Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Chicote during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Julio Chicote got a free kick in the 55th minute. Jerônimo Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Albino Steven had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albino Steven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 60 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Villa. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Francisco Gallo hit a great ball. Kléber Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Corinthians Paulista's Evandro Pena got a free kick in the 67th minute. Jerônimo Mangueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Freixa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Freixa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerônimo Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When Corinthians Paulista's Jerônimo Mangueira in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bolivia's goalie prevented a goal. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Mangueira notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Bolivia's Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Corinthians Paulista fully deserved thier win.
