Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baturhan Oytun in the 14th minute of play. Ricardo Zorita was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Baturhan Oytun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baturhan Oytun really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Ricardo Zorita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun in 21 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ricardo Zorita guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 21 minutes, Baturhan Oytun made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. In the 40th minute Baturhan Oytun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baturhan Oytun received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out and tried to block the shot, but Baturhan Oytun slotted it home off the left post making it 8-0 in the 42nd minute. In the 46th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Curbelo to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 8-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Paulo Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Gøl in the 63rd minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Juninho Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th minute PIAUÍ FC were awarded a corner. Renato Sá went to the cornerflag to take it. Serginho Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Juninho Freitas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. PIAUÍ FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
