Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Naldo in the 12th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Ás Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Madison booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mete Gol. The tension between the El Salvador and the Madison players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benito Naldo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, El Salvador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mete Gol fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Madison's Benito Naldo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 5-0 after 37 minutes of play. In the 40th minute Mete Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Naldo in the 44th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ás Ronaldo sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Fernandino to make the kick off. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Mete Gol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Naldo in the 58th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Benito Naldo put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. In the 62nd minute, Ás Ronaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Naldo in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Leo Lesardo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Zorita skillfully saved the ball. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ás Ronaldo scored 8-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Benito Naldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benito Naldo went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score.
