In the 16th minute Colo-Colo were awarded a corner. Honorio Droguett went to the cornerflag to take it. Rubén Martínez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaas Dejonghe having to interfere. Wariatów Kupa's Klaas Dejonghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Martínez in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubén Martínez in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Klaas Dejonghe saved Wariatów Kupa from getting behind. Dominik Janiczek hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, Xu Ming Ning threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colo-Colo's Marco-Antonio Etcheverry quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rambo Ramírez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Sochacki, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikolaj Sochacki in the 39th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Rambo Ramírez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Rubén Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 61 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Zbyszko Kempski came free, but Rambo Ramírez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rubén Martínez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Lewandowski in the 67th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Rambo Ramírez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Rubén Martínez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Klaas Dejonghe, 1-5. After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's Carlitos Caszely got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
