Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Long Liang having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Long Liang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Kerimhan Azim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Kerimhan Azim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kerimhan Azim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerimhan Azim in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerimhan Azim in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Kerimhan Azim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro came free and shot a quick shot against goal 81 minutes in the game, fortunately Long Liang had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerimhan Azim in the 89th minute of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerimhan Azim in the 94th minute of the match. The Yaman Academy® players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
