Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saffet Akdağ in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Real Trabzon Sk getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mats Hummels hit a great ball. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Benito Sanz had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Zekeriya Özbekkan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 92nd minute, Zekeriya Özbekkan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Trabzon Sk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zekeriya Özbekkan's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. Real Trabzon Sk's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
