A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Aris Petrochilos with Theodosis Papagiannis as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Giorgos Bobolis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Jaime Cazalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1.
